New Zealand’s premier outdoor concert and festival venue, Mt Smart Stadium hosts some of the world’s best entertainment acts.

As well as the main arena, Mt Smart features an international standard athletics facility, multi-purpose function spaces and a range of community-focused facilities catering for more than 500,000 visitors a year.

Recent concerts have included international superstars such as Adele, Queen and Adam Lambert, Bruce Springsteen, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Coldplay and Justin Bieber. Past acts have included Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles and U2 just to name a few.

Mt Smart Stadium is home to Athletics Auckland, Auckland Football Federation, Oceania Football Confederation and the Vodafone Warriors.

Event Parking
There is no onsite parking for large events such as concerts and sporting events. During large events parking is available on the streets surrouding Mt Smart Stadium (please be aware that some streets may be closed for the event delivery). 

Local businesses will open their premises for parking during events  for a small fee.

Function Attendee Parking
Parking for function attendees during non event periods can be accessed via O'Rorke Road.

Athletics Events
Limited onsite parking during athletics events can be accessed via O'Rorke Road.

Mobility Parking for Warriors Games

Mobility parking for Warriors games is available on Beasley Ave. Please present your mobility permit to traffic control staff for access. Pre registering is not required.

For all other events, mobility parking is available via O'Rorke Road.

Mobility parking is limited therefore is strictly reserved for patrons who hold a mobility permit only.

Mobility Parking
Onsite parking is available for patrons who who hold a valid mobility permit. If you are attending a concert and require mobility parking, please email with your permit number, event name and date to register. Your permit will also need to be presented on entry.

Campervan/Motorhome Parking
Campervan/Motorhome parking is not available onsite. You can locate nearby camping sites at

Coach Parking
If you are bringing a group to an event by coach please email to enquire about coach parking. For concerts Coach parking is usually located on Hugo Johnson Drive.

Wheelchair accessible tickets are available for all events. Please contact the tickeing agent directly to purchase accessible tickets. 

If you have had a change of circumstance since purchasing your tickets and now require accessible seating, please contact the ticketing agent directly to discuss options for changing your tickets.

Public transport options to the stadium include bus and train. Visit the Auckland Transport website for information.

For large events special event bus and train services  are usually included with your event ticket. Check the event page to see if this applies.


Authorised Sellers
Please only purchase tickets from the authorised ticketing agent - either Tickemaster or Ticketek. We cannot guarantee the validity or authenticity of tickets purchased from third party sellers such as Viagogo or individuals selling on Trade Me.

Where is my seat?
Your bay, row and seat number can be found on your ticket. 
Row A starts closest to the field.

Is my seat covered?
Seats located in Bays 1-8 of the West (Colin Kay) stand and Seats in Bays 35-43 and Bays 51-53 of the East Stand are covered. Because the stadium is not fully enclosed, wind and rain direction can impact seats within these areas so it is always advisable to bring a poncho or rain coat if wet weather is predicted.

Food and beverage outlets are located throughout the stadium within close proximity to patron seating. Depending on the size of the event, the stadium outlets may be supplemented with mobile concession outlets.

Bar service is available at most events. If you are under 25 please bring identification if you wish to purchase alcohol. Accepted forms of ID are - Passport, NZ Drivers Licence or HANZ 18+ card. If we are unsure of your age and you do not have ID, you will not be able to purchase alcohol.

Eftpos is available at most food and beverage outlets.

You are welcome to bring in small quanitites of non commercially prepared food such as sandwiches, fruit or baking. You may also bring a sealed plastic bottle of water (up to 1 ltire) however please note that for most concerts, the lid will be removed and discarded on entry. These conditions can change from event to event depending on security requirements so please check the event page for the concert you are attending for its specific conditions.

Conditions of entry can differ from event to event so please refer to the event page for any special conditions of entry related to that event.  

  • A small bag that can fit under your seat, no larger than 350mm x 300mm x 400mm
  • One sealed plastic water bottle (up to 1 litre). Please note that depending on the security requirements of the event, the lid may be removed and discarded on entry
  • Home prepared foods such as baking, sandwiches or fruit
  • Guide Dogs.

  • Chilly bins
  • Cans, aluminium or glass containers, bottles or cutlery (this includes bottles of perfume)
  • Alcohol or illicit drugs
  • Air horns or loud hailers
  • Furniture, chairs or stools
  • Prams or strollers
  • Rain or shade umbrellas
  • Animals (except for Guide Dogs)
  • Dangerous goods
  • Video cameras and recording devices such as Go Pros (cell phones are ok)
  • Selfie sticks
  • Costume/dress-up face masks
  • Cameras with a removable lens, a lens larger than a regular watch face or cameras which may be deemed to be for professional use.
  • Large items that cannot be placed under the seat.
  • Skateboards, rollerblades or scooters
  • Fireworks, flares or laser lights
  • Items that in the opinion of management/security could cause harm or nuisance to other patrons.

If in doubt, please leave it at home. Stadium Management takes no responsibility for goods surrendered.

We are predominately an outdoor venue. Events go ahead rain or shine unless it is usafe to do so.

Umbrellas cannot be erected within the stadium so if rain is predicted, please bring a raincoat or poncho.

At Mt Smart  Stadium you can enjoy a world class stadium experience.  The stadium and its facilities are here for the use and enjoyment of a variety of visitors, patrons and public users.  As such, there is an expectation that minimal standards of behaviour and presentation are adhered to by everyone to ensure an enjoyable environment for all.  To achieve this, we have the following conditions of entry that all visitors to the stadium are required to meet.

Dress Code
For safety reasons, footwear is to be worn at all times.

We do not permit gang patches or gang paraphernalia to be displayed.

Stadium management and its representatives reserve the right to request patrons to present any clothing, bags and other carried items for searching before you enter the Stadium.

If you refuse to present any of the requested items for searching, you may be denied entry.

We reserve the right to search vehicl es entering the Stadium.

Entry will be refused if a patron is intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances.

Drugs and Alcohol Policy
Mt Smart Stadium complies with the Liquor Licensing Authority and prohibits the serving of alcohol to intoxicated or under-aged persons

Intoxicated or under-aged persons who are apprehended with alcohol will be escorted from the premises.

Mt Smart Stadium maintains a strict ‘no drugs’ policy, illicit drugs are prohibited and will be confiscated at the gate.  Any persons apprehended with drugs in their possession will be escorted from the premises. Incidents involving alcohol or drugs will be referred to the police where the situation requires it.

Lost, Stolen or Damaged Property
Stadium management takes no responsibility for any damage to, loss or theft of a patron’s personal property while on Stadium property.

Items of value recovered after an event will be taken to the Mt Wellington Police Station.

In order to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, Stadium management reserves the right to deny entry or remove attendees who exhibit unacceptable or disruptive behaviour.  There will be zero tolerance for intoxication.  Those who arrive at the gates intoxicated will be refused entry and patrons who become intoxicated will be removed from the venue.

Mt Smart Stadium is a SMOKE FREE venue. This includes the use of e-cigarettes and vaporisers.
