A-Leagues Expand Go Media Stadium Capacity Ahead of 2025 Finals Series

In partnership with the Australian Professional Leagues (APL) and Auckland FC, Go Media Stadium will increase its capacity by installing over 2,700 temporary seats for the 2025 Isuzu UTE A-League Men Finals Series.

With Go Media Stadium set to host  Auckland FC's home Semi Final on Saturday 24 May, this expansion gives even more fans the chance to be part of what will be a landmark moment in the club’s debut season. If Auckland FC progresses to the Grand Final and earns hosting rights, an additional 800 temporary seats will be installed to accommodate demand for the Saturday 31 May decider.

This marks another significant milestone in what has been a record-breaking season for the A-Leagues and a massive year of football here in Tāmaki Makaurau.

A-Leagues at Go Media Stadium

A-Leagues Executive Chair, Hon. Stephen Conroy, acknowledged the impact of Auckland’s growing football community:

“As we enter an exciting month of A-Leagues action, it’s great to be able to increase the overall capacity at Go Media Stadium to give more fans the chance to see their team in action.
Credit to all involved at Auckland FC for the momentum they’ve built, and a huge shout out to their growing fan base for the passion and connection they’ve shown to the club in their first season.”

The expanded seating will be located at the northern end of the venue and is designed to enhance the matchday experience for both home and visiting supporters. Across the regular season, the A-League has recorded a 9% increase in attendance year-on-year, with the league set to surpass 1.5 million fans through the gates for the first time since 2018/19.

As venue operator, Auckland Stadiums is excited to welcome fans from across the country and beyond to Go Media Stadium for what is shaping up to be a thrilling Finals Series.
