Pasifika Festival 2025 returns to Western Springs

Pasifika Festival returns to Western Springs Lakeside Park in 2025 for a celebration of all things Pacific on Saturday 8th & Sunday 9 March.  

The iconic festival’s 8 villages are set to showcase the best of the 11 Pacific Island nations with world-class traditional and contemporary performances, soul food and much more. 

MUSIC & PERFORMANCES

Enjoy show-stopping performances across all eight stages of Pasifika Festival. Talented performers from across the Pacific will be sharing immersive fresh beats as well as all the old favourites to sing and dance along to.

FOOD & CRAFTS

Explore, taste and shop at over 100 delicious local food and independent craft stalls at Pasifika Festival. From 'otai to Hāngī, seek out your favourite kai and shop for traditional taongas whilst taking a break from the action-packed stage programme.

MOTAT joins the Pasifika fun

Head to MOTAT, next door to Western Springs, for Pasifika Vibes! This FREE programme celebrates Pacific culture with interactive games, workshops (like coconut shaving!), ukelele lessons, films, performances, and more!

Pasifika Festival is taking place at Western Springs Park, with some of the Festival footprint also on The Outerfields at Western Springs Stadium. Get directions here.

We encourage you to plan your journey in advance to avoid busy traffic. The best way to get to Pasifika Festival 2025 is to use public transport, walk, or cycle: Check here

There are regular bus and train services to Western Springs from transport hubs across Auckland. 

We recommend using the Auckland Transport journey planner to see the public transport options for travelling to the festival.

Parking restrictions and road closures will be in place and with thousands expected to attend, the surrounding area will be busy with both vehicle traffic and pedestrians.

Paid public parking can be found at MOTAT's Aviation Hall car park and the car park outside TAPAC. Limited free parking is available in the streets surrounding TAPAC.

Accessible parking is available on Motions Road between the Zoo entrance and Great North Road for vehicles displaying a current mobility parking permit.

Changing facilities for young children and babies are in some of our public toilets.

Service dogs are welcome. The festival gets busy, and we recommend that pets are left at home.

Yes, this is family-friendly event.

Pasifika Festival is a smoke-free event. That includes vaping.

No, none of the events for Pasifika Festival are ticketed this year.

Pasifika Festival is an alcohol-free event.

Yes, the festival is wheelchair accessible. Accessible drop-off points are available along Great North Road.

Some Pasifika Festival stallholders will have EFTPOS available for payment. Cash-out services will be available on-site. We recommend you come prepared with cash to avoid long lines at cash points.

St John medical teams are on site both days of the festival. If you or someone in your group suffers a medical emergency at the event, please alert a volunteer or staff member who will call for assistance.

The organiser aim to divert 80% of festival waste from landfill, and 100% of food serve-ware at the festival is recyclable or compostable.

Bags must always remain on you, there is no bag check-in available. If bags or belongings are left around, they will be handed to lost property.

You can refill your water bottle at the public water refill stations in the venue, and a small selection of vendors will be selling bottled water.
