Next-Gen Motorsport Day: A FREE Community Event!
Go Media Stadium Mt Smart is excited to host the Next-Gen Motorsport Day on Saturday 28th of October. The Hyundai NZ Next-Gen motorsport day is hosted on the stadiums Supertop Carpark, encaptulating the ACE Motorsport go karting track. Entry to this event can be found by using the stadium Maurice Road entrance gate. Once inside you can access the event by using GATE A.
What's on during the event?
1. HYUNDAI NZ RALLY DEMONSTRATIONS:
Come and see the worlds first EV rally car burn some rubber alongside the 2022 Rally NZ WRC2 car winner, the Hyundai i20N Rally2 – both driven by Hayden Paddon.
2. THE CELEBRITY GO-KART SHOOTOUT:
Ready for a head to head race between sports stars and media personalities? Who will take the title as the celebrities battle it out on the ACE Motorsport go-karting track.
3. E-VEOLICTY COMPETITION:
Electric vehicles are fast. They are fun. They are the future. Through mentorship and a hands-on learning philosophy, EVolocity are on a mission to break down barriers and inspire young Kiwis into sustainable engineering while fast forwarding New Zealand’s clean tech future. 4.INVITATIONAL DEMONSTRATIONS:
Auckland University will race their state of the art SAE formula kart which will set a bench mark time on the ACE Motorsport kart track for all else to follow. Complimented with the 13,000rpm screaming Crosscar, this group promises to make lots of noise.
