Macca's Festival of Football - Wellington Phoenix Double-Header

Yes you can. Apply to volunteer for this match here. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without our volunteers! And we are always looking for as many volunteers as possible. Volunteering can be a great way to get experience for your resume and help your community out at the same time.  

There are a limited number of parking spaced available in the main stadium car park, which can be purchased alongside matchday tickets here. There is limited amounts of parking available on the streets surrounding Go Media Stadium Mt Smart (please be aware that some streets may be closed for the event delivery).  

Local businesses will open their premises for parking during events for a small fee.

Ticketholders for the Macca's Festival of Football can use many Auckland Transport bus and rail services for free with their matchday tickets. Terms and conditions apply. For matchday specific public transport information visit the AT website here. 

Permitted Items

• 1x bag no larger than an A4 size of paper    
• 1x sealed plastic bottle of water up to 750ml (lid may be removed on entry) * or empty plastic water bottle up to 750ml to fill up at free water stations
• Some camera phones and personal digital cameras are pemitted. See "Prohibited Items" list below for more details
• Small quantities of home prepared food such as sandwiches, baking or fruit
• Banners, flags (without poles) and posters no larger than A3 size

Don't forget to wear your colours! Wear your Phoenix gear to support both teams.

Prohibited Items

• Commercially prepared foods such as takeaways and soft drinks    
• Chilly bins    
• Cans, aluminium or glass containers, bottles or cutlery (this includes bottles of perfume)    
• Alcohol or illicit drugs
• Umbrellas
• Air horns or loud hailers
• Furniture, chairs or stools
• Prams or strollers
• Animals (except for Assistance Dogs)
• Dangerous goods
• Video cameras and recording devices such as drones, iPads, tablets or Go Pros (cell phones are okay)
• Cameras with a removable lens, a lens larger than a regular watch face or cameras which may be deemed to be for professional use
• Selfie sticks
• Costume/dress-up full-face masks and helmets
• Large items that cannot be placed under the seat
• Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles or scooters
• Fireworks, flares or laser lights
• Large poles for flags that could be considered dangerous or view obstructing
• Items that in the opinion of management/security could cause harm or nuisance to other patrons

If in doubt, please leave it at home. Stadium Management takes no responsibility for goods surrendered. Footwear must be worn at all times within the venue.

Items of value recovered after an event will be held at the stadium for 5 working days after which they will be handed into the Auckland Central Police Station.

Some sections of the stadium are covered, but all patrons are advised to come prepared for all weathers.

This means a poncho or raincoat for wet conditions, as well as sun protection and a hat for sunnier days. Umbrellas are not permitted within the venue and will be confiscated by security on entry.

Saturday 25 November 

• Box Office: 2.30pm 
• Game #1: Gates open 3.30pm, kick-off 4.30pm. 
• Game #2: Kick-off 7.15pm. 
• Event end 9.00pm (approx). 

Please refer to your ticket and enter via the gate shown on your match day ticket.   

There is parking available in the main stadium car park, which can be purchased alongside matchday tickets here.  Parking spots can be purchased here. 

Free accessibility parking is available on Beasley Avenue between 3pm-10pm on a first-come first-served basis to valid mobility permit holders. Please show your mobility pass to Traffic Control at the entrance of Beasley Avenue. 

Mobility Assistance: 

If you require mobility assistance to your allocated seat, please enter through Gate B or Gate C where mobility volunteers will be available with buggies and wheelchairs to assist.  

If you are attending in a wheelchair, it is essential to have an ‘accessible’ ticket as not all areas of the venue are accessible by wheelchair. If unsure, please contact Flicket: support@flicket.co.nz

We strongly discourage purchasing from 3rd party sellers such as Trade Me or Viagogo. We cannot guarantee or check the validity or authenticity of tickets purchased from these sellers and therefore entry is likely to be refused. 

Bag and coat check is not available at this event. Please ensure you check the venue Conditions of Entry for more info on what can and can’t be brought into the venue.  

Banners/flags (without poles) and posters from cloth, cardboard or paper only. Signs must not be larger than A3.  Laminated paper signs are fine.  

 

You may leave the venue and return; however, all initial conditions of entry apply.  On your return to the stadium, you will have to pass through bag check and your ticket must be valid for re-entry.  

Yes, umbrellas are permitted for sporting events.  

Yes, you will be able to purchase official Wellington Phoenix merchandise at the venue.  

Yes. Unless specifically stated the event will take place in the rain. Go Media Stadium Mt Smart is predominately an uncovered venue so please be prepared with a poncho or raincoat should wet weather be forecasted.  

No, the gates do not close. You can arrive at any time you wish.
