Event FAQs

This event is taking place at Western Springs Stadium. You can find directions to the venue here.

Gates open at 12.30pm with the event finishing at 10pm.

It's easy to reach Western Springs Stadium on public transport with bus and train services from the City Centre and beyond. The nearest train stations are Morningside or Baldwin Ave.

Cycling

We do not have a dedicated bike parking facility, however there is a Lockey Dock on the left hand of Stadium Road as you head towards the festival entrance. Bikes are locked at your own risk.

Event shuttle buses will be running from the venue through to Auckland CBD after the show, only.

Location: Great North Road, outside Western Springs Lakeside.
Timings: Starting from 9.30pm, the last bus will depart 1 hour post-event

There will be 2 services to choose from:

  • 1 x Express Bus to Britomart
  • 1 x Bus to Britomart (via K Road Afterparty drop off)

At the festival

  • Found: Please take any found items to the Info Tent / Coat Check / Lost & Found on site during the festival.
  • Lost: If you misplace something, please check with Info Tent / Coat Check / Lost & Found on the day as things will be turned in there.

 

After the festival

Lost Property collection will be available for patrons between the below times from the end of Stadium Road:

  • Friday, 6 February 2026: 9AM – 6PM
  • Saturday, 7 February 2026: 9AM – 6PM

From golden pies and plant-based burgers to crowd fave tacos, dumplings and ice cream — there’s something for everyone across the site!
(Vegan, veg, GF & DF options available)


 

Camping

For the wellbeing and safety of our patrons, camping inside or directly outside of the venue prior to event day is not permitted. There are no facilities outside the venue to support overnight camping.

No priority entry will be given to anyone camping outside the venue prior to event day and fan made wristband or early line systems will not be honoured. 

 

Early queuing

Queuing will be permitted on show day from 11am on Great North Road, beginning from the end of Stadium Road at the security checkpoint.

Anyone queuing (or camping) outside the venue prior to 11am on event day will be moved on.

We’re committed to making Laneway Festival accessible and welcoming for everyone. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please follow these steps:

1. Fill out our Accessibility Request Form so we can understand your access needs and provide the best possible support.

2. Once your form is submitted, our team will begin reviewing your request. We’ll start contacting attendees from November onwards to confirm details and answer any questions.

3. Closer to the event, we’ll send you an Access Information Pack. This will include everything you need to know about the accessible facilities and services available at the event.

4. To help us accommodate your needs, please submit any accessibility requests no later than one week before the event date. Please note that during the festival, this form will not be monitored, and we may be unable to action last-minute requests. Thank you for your understanding!

Parking & Roads

There is no onsite parking provided for this event. Limited parking may be available on the streets and businesses surrounding the venue. Please be aware that some surrounding streets will be closed during the event.

Yes. 

  • For safety reasons, footwear is to be worn at all times.
  • We do not permit gang patches or gang paraphernalia to be displayed.
  • No high-visibility vests or clothing may be worn.

The 2026 Laneway Festival in Auckland will be an 18+ event.

Accepted ID for ALL patrons attending Laneway Festival in Auckland will be as follows:

  • New Zealand Photo Driver’s Licence or Learner’s Permit
  • Current Passport from any country
  • Kiwi Access Card – 18+ photo identification card issued by Kiwi Access Card Solutions Ltd.

Anyone who fails to present an Accepted ID upon entry will not be allowed into Laneway Festival. No refunds will be processed for anyone who is denied entry because they did not bring Accepted ID.

The Conditions of Entry and Ticketing Terms & Conditions apply to everyone attending Laneway Festival. Promoter reserves the right to evict any persons engaging in illegal activities.

Banners, flags (without poles) and posters made from soft materials such as cloth, cardboard or paper are permitted. Signs should not be larger than A3 in size and must not obstruct the view of other patrons.

Larger banners and flags with poles will not be permitted inside the venue and can not be stored onsite.

Volunteering

Yes you can. Apply to volunteer for this event here. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without our volunteers! And we are always looking for as many volunteers as possible. Volunteering can be a great way to get experience for your resume, and help your community out at the same time.
