Best news ever! Fat Freddy’s Drop bring their euphoric live show back to Aotearoa to rock Summer 2025.

Fresh off the back of 37 shows in Europe, Freddys will be match-fit and armed with a brand new setlist to light up the party. Catch our live Drop euphoria at Lilyworld, Go Media Stadium. This show is Licensed All Ages - no age restrictions but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian. 

Incredible guest line up, The Teskey Brothers slow burn blues from Melbourne, Coterie soulful rock and harmonies from Perth, Rubi Du roots and dancehall Queen, Logg Cabin aka MC Slave DJ aka Freddy's toastmaster, AJ Honeysuckle free-wheeling DJ, artist, moana maker and Rehekōrero next generation indigenous spoken word artists, speaking truth to power.

With ‘SLO MO’ album release flying high, the tour will hit the sweet spot for Freddy’s fans who’ve been waiting for a NZ headline tour, for like ages.

Public Transport
Please note that while we encourage all attendees to use public transport, there is a complete block of lines on regular Auckland Transport train services in January. As a result, there are buses replacing all trains during this event. Regular bus services are operating.

There is a limit of ten (10) tickets per person.

All tickets enter via Gate A, which can be accessed via Maurice Road. Stadiums staff, volunteers and wayfinding signage will assist you with directions upon arriving at the venue.

If you wish to purchase alcohol then you must bring photo ID with you. Nationally recognised forms of identification include:

  • any current passport
  • a current New Zealand driver licence
  • a Hospitality NZ 18+ Card. Note: new 18+ cards are no longer available but existing 18+ cards continue to be valid ID for 10 years from the date of issue.
  • a Kiwi Access Card. Note: this Hospitality NZ card replaces the 18+ Card and is available for both NZ nationals and foreign visitors.

The ID document must be current and include a photo of the person and their date of birth.

  • Animals (except for Assistance Dogs)

  • Video cameras and recording devices such as drones, iPads, tablets or Go Pros (cell phones are ok)   
  • Cameras with a removable lens, a lens larger than a regular watch face or cameras which may be deemed to be for professional use   
  • Selfie sticks   
  • Costume/dress-up full-face masks and helmets   
  • Large items that cannot be placed under the seat   
  • Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles or scooters   
  • Fireworks, flares or laser lights   
  • Large poles for flags that could be considered dangerous or view obstructing
  • Items that in the opinion of management/security could cause harm or nuisance to other patrons

If in doubt, please leave it at home. Stadium Management takes no responsibility for goods surrendered.   

Items of value recovered after an event will be held at the stadium for 5 working days after which they will be handed into the Auckland Central Police Station.   

There are no passouts for this event. Once you leave, you cannot re-enter.

The following restricted or prohibited items are not permitted by patrons into the event:

  • Glass bottles or cans including perfume and makeup;
  • Any liquids including alcoholic beverages, e-cigarette liquids and sunscreen pump bottles;
  • Chilly bins;
  • Air horns or loud hailers;
  • Furniture, chairs or stools;
  • Illicit drugs;
  • Aerosol products;
  • Knives or other dangerous weapons including potential missiles;
  • Flares, fireworks or sparklers;
  • Lasers or laser pointers;
  • Animals or pets (other than assistance animals);
  • Professional recording or broadcast devices without the promoter’s permission;
  • Drones or other airborne recording/photography devices;
  • Flags with poles, large flags or banners that may obstruct the view of other patrons;
  • Any item that you intend (or such quantities of the item from which Management can reasonably infer that you intend) to distribute, hawk, sell, offer, expose for sale or display for marketing or promotional purposes;
  • Large items including eskies, drink coolers or ice boxes;
  • Umbrellas;
  • Plastic sealed or opened drink containers (only empty reusable water bottles are allowed into the event);
  • Metal drink bottles;
  • Food;
  • Picnic rug or chairs;
  • Any dangerous goods;
  • Any other items as determined by Security or Management that may cause injury or public nuisance;

In the interest of safety, there will be road closures and parking restrictions in place for this event.

Road Closures

The following roads will be closed to unauthorised vehicles for this event:

  • Beasley Avenue – closed from 3pm – 12am
  • Maurice Road – closed from 9.30pm – 12am 

 

Parking Restrictions

  • Beasley Ave: Mobility parking only from 2pm – 12am
  • O’Rorke Road: No stopping from 2pm – 12am
  • Maurice Road: No stopping from 9.30pm – 12am

All patrons for this event will enter via the Maurice Road entry gate. Our friendly volunteers are available to assist any patrons with accessibility needs.

Whether it's a helping hand, mobility assistance or directions to your seat - look out for our accessibility volunteers in their blue hi vis jackets if you need assistance at any time.

There is no onsite parking for this event. Parking is available on the streets surrounding Go Media Stadium (please be aware that some streets may be closed for the event delivery). Parking on private property is at your own risk.

Yes, there is a dedicated accessibility parking area located on Beasley Avenue - this will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and will only be available to mobility permit holders.

Yes. Unless specifically stated the event will take place in the rain. Lilyworld and Go Media Stadium are predominately uncovered so please be prepared for all weathers with sun screen, a hat, poncho or raincoat should wet weather be forecasted.

No, umbrellas are not permitted into the concert area.

No, the gates do not close, you can arrive at any time you wish.

Small quantities of home-prepared food, including sandwiches or snacks may be brought into the venue. Any commercially prepared external food cannot be brought into the event as per our conditions of entry. We will have a variety of food vendors open on the day to purchase food or drinks from.

Please do not bring eskies, picnic blankets or baskets, folding chairs, glass containers, knives and any other bulky or sharp items. Security guards will be checking bags at the gate and will confiscate prohibited items.

Medication may only be brought into the event under the following conditions:

  • must be in its original packaging/untampered
  • with a label or additional script that matches the ticketholder ID name
  • only a daily dosage is permitted

Yes. The Box Office is open at 4pm and is located at Gate B.

Yes you can. Apply to volunteer for this event here. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without our volunteers! And we are always looking for as many volunteers as possible. Volunteering can be a great way to get experience for your resume, and help your community out at the same time.

Children aged 13 or over require a ticket to enter. 

Children under 12 are free to enter the event with a parent or legal guardian.

No - this is an all-ages event and families are welcome, but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian.

Go Media Stadium is a mobility friendly venue. Please contact the Ticketmaster Contact Centre if you require wheelchair or accessible seating bookings, or are otherwise unable to complete a ticket purchase online.

Yes:

  • For safety reasons, footwear is to be worn at all times.
  • We do not permit gang patches or gang paraphernalia to be displayed.
  • No high-visibility vests or clothing may be worn.

Banners, flags (without poles) and posters made from soft materials such as cloth, cardboard or paper are permitted. Signs should not be larger than A1 in size and must not obstruct the view of other patrons.

Larger banners and flags with poles will only be allowed into the venue once they have been reviewed and approved by the stadium security team before arrival to the gate. Please email us at info@aucklandstadiums.co.nz to seek approval before matchday.

Banners that exceed the maximum size or that have not been approved may be denied entry.
