Adele Event Day Information

Please read the below info carefully. The below provides important information to assist your planning for attending the Adele concert at Mt Smart Stadium. This information is applicable for all performances – Thursday, Saturday & Sunday.

​GATES OPEN 5.30PM | SHOW COMMENCES 7.30PM

Before the day
Check your ticket - Adele will be performing three shows. Please ensure you double check the date on your ticket prior to arriving. Patrons who attend the incorrect show date will not be admitted. 
Plan your travel - The roads will be extremely busy, particularly for the Thursday night performance. Due to the large scale nature of this event, we recommend that all patrons arrive at least one hour prior to the start time to ensure you do not miss the start of the show. The show will commence at 7.30pm. There is no support act.

Warning: This show includes special effects including strobe lights and pyrotechnics.

The venue has been configured specifically for this concert. You will only be able to enter the venue via the gate specified on your ticket.

UPPER EAST STAND, LOWER EAST STAND, EAST STAND LOUNGE + HOSPITALITY VIP PACKAGE TICKET HOLDERS
Enter through Gate C on Beasley Avenue.
Beasley Avenue can be accessed easily from O'Rorke Road and Church Street.

LOWER SOUTH STAND TICKET HOLDERS
Enter through Gate D on Beasley Avenue.
Beasley Avenue can be accessed from O'Rorke Road and Church Street.

UPPER SOUTH STAND TICKET HOLDERS
Enter through Gate S on Maurice Road.
Maurice Road can be accessed from Church Street and Station Road

PREMIUM SEAT PACKAGE VIPs, GOLDEN CIRCLE + CORPORATE SUITE TICKET HOLDERS
Enter through Gate A on the west side of the Stadium (adjacent Maurice Road).
Maurice Road can be accessed easily from Church Street and Station Road.
An alternative route is also available from O'Rorke Road through the Stadium external areas to the west side of the Stadium.

WEST STAND, FIELD, & FIELD NORTH GRANDSTAND TICKET HOLDERS
Enter through Gate F – "General Admission", on the west side of the Stadium (adjacent Maurice Road).
Maurice Road can be accessed easily from Church Street and Station Road.
An alternative route is also available from O'Rorke Road through the Stadium external areas to the west side of the Stadium.
O'Rorke Road can be accessed easily from Station Road and Church Street.

NORTH STAND TICKET HOLDERS
Please enter through Gate B from O'Rorke Road.

WHEELCHAIR TICKET HOLDERS
Please enter through Gate B from O'Rorke Road or Gate C from Beasley Ave.

Search on Entry
You and/or your possessions will be subject to a safety and security search upon entry. Prohibited items include, and are not limited to, the list at the end of this page. Confiscated items (i.e. alcohol, etc.) will not be returned, replaced or reimbursed.​


GETTING TO THE CONCERT
Public Transport
Travel on trains, special event buses from the CBD and Northern Express bus services is included with your concert ticket, subject to certain time restrictions and conditions. If you’re heading to the Thursday night concert, you will be travelling during peak evening traffic, and when public transport is at its busiest. Travel may take more than 2 hours. Drop Off
The best location for drop off off is on Olive Road or Rockfield Road.

Road Closures
Road closures will be in place around Mt Smart Stadium on the following streets for each show day:
Beasley Ave will be closed from 5.00am through until 1.00am the following morning. 
O’Rorke Rd, Rockridge Ave, Maurice Rd, Hugo Johnston Dr, South Park Place and Autumn Pl will be closed from 4.00pm to 1.00am the following morning.
Walls Rd, Olive Rd, Fairfax Ave, Bassant Ave, Botha Rd, Burrett Ave and Station Rd (Rockfield Rd to Great South Rd) will be closed from 9.00pm to 1.00am the following morning.

Parking 
There are NO parking facilities available at the stadium. Please be aware that the streets within the immediate precinct of Mt Smart Stadium and the Penrose railway station will be closed to support the safe and comfortable delivery of special event bus and train services.
Parking will be at an absolute premium in the outer industrial areas of the Stadium.
If you park on a road that is subject to a later road closure then you will be delayed from departing until the road closure is lifted, this could be as late as 1.00am.  The parking restriction information is available below.

​Mobility Parking
​Entry for mobility ticket holders is via Gate B from O'Rorke Rd or Gate C from Beasley Ave. Mobility parking is available strictly for patrons who have pre-arranged parking in this area and hold a valid mobility parking permit - no exceptions.
Exit from the venue will be delayed up to an hour following the concert to ensure the safety of pedestrians.

If you are attending the concert in a wheelchair, please ensure you have purchased an accessible ticket. If you are unsure, please contact Ticketmaster on 0800 111 999.

Charter Bus Parking
Charter bus parking is located on Hugo Johnston Drive. Bookings for this parking area must be made via the Stadium office on 09 366 2048. This parking is not available for motor home or camper van parking. 

Liquor Ban
A temporary liquor ban will be enforced on the following streets between 6.00am Thursday 23 March to 6:00am Friday 24 March and 6.00am Saturday 25 March to 6.00am Monday 27 March. This ban applies to business carparks and forecourts within the liquor ban zone. Liquor Ban signage will be erected at least 24 hours prior to the event. The Police will be actively monitoring these streets and enforcing this ban. The streets included in this liquor ban can be found below.


VENUE FACILITIES
Ticket Collection
Ticket collection will be available from 9am on each show day only. This will be located at Gate B. 
If collecting tickets at the venue plan your arrival in anticipation of queues. Please be aware that road closures will be in place each day (details below).
Patrons are encouraged to collect their pre-purchased tickets in advance from a Ticketmaster outlet. If you have “E Tickets”, please print them in advance. No ticket, no entry.

Food
A range of catering outlets will be available along with bar service.
You may bring a small amount of home prepared food such as sandwiches, baking or fruit however commercially prepared food products, including takeaway meals or soft drinks are not permitted. 

Beverage
Stations with free water and cups will be available throughout the venue. You may bring your own plastic or aluminium water bottle (up to 1litre) to fill at the stations however please note that lids are not permitted and will be discarded on entry. Please note: Lids from all beverages (including water and soft drinks) will be removed on purchase.

If we think you look under 25 or we are not sure of your age, we will ask you for ID. 
Acceptable forms of proof of age are a NZ driver’s license, NZ or overseas passport or the HANZ 18+ card. If you cannot provide proof of age when asked, we cannot serve you alcohol.
The venue reserves the right to deny entry to and/or evict intoxicated patrons or under-age patrons found with alcohol.

First Aid 
First aid will be available at various positions around the stadium. These locations are marked on the venue map.

ATM/EFTPOS
ATM and EFTPOS facilities will be available within the stadium however patrons are strongly advised to come prepared with sufficient cash for the entire evening.

Smoking
Mt Smart Stadium is a totally SMOKE FREE zone. Patrons must NOT smoke within stadium grounds – this includes use of e-cigarettes and vaporisers. If you wish to smoke, you must retain your ticket so that you can be scanned out at the gate and scanned back in. 

Weather
The concert will proceed rain or shine. No shade or rain umbrellas are permitted in the venue so bring a raincoat or poncho if rain is predicted.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
At Mt Smart Stadium you can enjoy a world class stadium experience.  The Stadium and its facilities are here for the use and enjoyment of a variety of visitors, patrons and public users.  As such, there is an expectation that certain standards of behaviour and presentation are adhered to by everyone to ensure an enjoyable environment for all.  To achieve this, we have the following conditions of entry that all visitors to the stadium are required to meet.

Dress Code
For safety reasons, footwear is to be worn at all times.
We do not permit gang patches or gang paraphernalia to be displayed.

Security
Stadium management and its representatives reserve the right to request patrons to present any clothing, bags and other carried items for searching before you enter the Stadium.
If you refuse to present any of the requested items for searching, you may be denied entry.
We reserve the right to search vehicles entering the Stadium.
Entry will be refused if a patron is intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances.

What you CAN bring into the Stadium
A bag that can fit under your seat, no larger than 350mm x 300mm x 400mm
One sealed plastic water bottle up to 1 litre (top may be removed upon entry)
Small snacks such as homemade sandwiches, biscuits, small packets of chips, confectionery
Guide dog
Banners, placards and flags, no larger than A4 size and detached from sticks/poles. No items with corporate or inappropriate branding
 
What you CAN NOT bring into the Stadium
Chilly bins
Commercially prepared food including takeaways
Cans or glass containers
Alcohol or illicit drugs
Air horns or loud hailers
Furniture, chairs or stools
Prams or strollers
Rain or shade umbrellas
Animals. (except guide dogs)
Dangerous goods
Video cameras and recording devices (cell phones are ok)
Go-pros
Selfie sticks
Face masks
Photographic devices with a removable lens or deemed to be for professional use
Large items that cannot be placed under a seat
Skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, hover boards or other skates
Laser pointers, flashlights, glow sticks, fireworks, flares or laser lights
Inflatables such as beach balls and balloons
Items that in the opinion of management/security could cause harm or public nuisance.
Stadium management takes no responsibility for goods surrendered.

Drugs and Alcohol Policy
Mt Smart Stadium complies with the Liquor Licensing Authority and prohibits the serving of alcohol to intoxicated or under-aged persons
Intoxicated or under-aged persons who are apprehended with alcohol will be escorted from the premises.
Mt Smart Stadium maintains a strict ‘no drugs’ policy, illicit drugs are prohibited and will be confiscated at the gate.  Any persons apprehended with drugs in their possession will be escorted from the premises. Incidents involving alcohol or drugs will be referred to the police where the situation requires it.
 
Lost, Stolen or Damaged Property
Stadium management takes no responsibility for any damage to, loss or theft of a patron’s personal property while on Stadium property.
Items of value recovered after an event will be taken to the Mt Wellington Police Station.
 
Behaviour
In order to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, Stadium management reserves the right to deny entry or remove attendees who exhibit unacceptable or disruptive behaviour.  There will be zero tolerance for intoxication.  Those who arrive at the gates intoxicated will be refused entry and patrons who become intoxicated will be removed from the venue.

Parking Restrictions
All of the below parking restrictions are active from 3.00pm through until 1.00am the following morning for each show day:
O’Rorke Rd: no parking western side, bus parking eastern side, from Church St to Station Rd
Hugo Johnston Dr: no parking eastern side, coach parking western side, from Church St to the cul-de-sac
Maurice Rd: no parking both sides from Church St to Station Rd
Rockridge Ave:  no parking both sides from O’Rorke Rd to the cul-de-sac
Station Rd: no parking both sides from O’Rorke Rd to Maurice Rd
Station Rd: bus parking southern side from Maurice Rd to Rockfield Rd 
Station Rd: no parking northern side from O’Rorke Rd to Great South Rd
Rockfield Rd: no parking both sides from Station Rd to Edmonton Ave
Fairfax Ave: bus parking both sides from Walls Rd to Station Rd
Walls Rd: bus parking from Station Rd to Fairfax Ave. 

The below parking restrictions are active from 5.00am through until 1.00am the following morning for each show day:
Station Rd: no parking both sides from Great South Rd to O’Rorke Rd
Beasley Ave: no parking both sides from Church St to the cul-de-sac.
